1. About Rise & Renew Therapy
Rise & Renew Therapy is a virtual psychotherapy practice providing online therapy for adults, young adults, and university and college students across Ontario.
Services may include support related to anxiety, ADHD, stress and burnout, relationships, breakups, self-confidence, people-pleasing, perfectionism, life transitions, and other mental health and emotional concerns.
Psychotherapy services are provided by qualified practitioners within their respective scopes of practice and professional requirements.

This website is intended to provide general information about Rise & Renew Therapy, our psychotherapy services, and how to contact or book with us.

4. No Emergency or Crisis Services
Rise & Renew Therapy is not an emergency or crisis service.
Our website, email, online booking system, and other electronic communication methods are not monitored continuously and should not be relied upon for urgent mental health support.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, experiencing a mental health emergency, or at risk of serious harm, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact an appropriate crisis service in your area.
Do not use our website contact form, email, or booking system to request immediate assistance.
5. Online Therapy Services
Rise & Renew Therapy provides virtual psychotherapy services throughout Ontario.
Online therapy allows clients to attend sessions remotely using secure technology platforms selected by the practice.
Clients are responsible for:
Having access to a suitable device
Having a reasonably private and appropriate environment for therapy
Maintaining a reliable internet connection where possible
Taking reasonable steps to protect their privacy during sessions
Providing accurate contact and location information when requested
Informing their therapist if their physical location changes during a session when relevant to safety or professional requirements
Technical difficulties may occasionally interrupt virtual sessions. Reasonable efforts will be made to resolve technical problems or determine an appropriate alternative.
6. Booking Appointments
Appointments may be scheduled through our online booking system or by contacting Rise & Renew Therapy.
By booking an appointment, you agree to provide accurate and current information and to follow the applicable appointment, payment, and cancellation policies.
An appointment is considered confirmed only when confirmation has been provided through the applicable booking system or by Rise & Renew Therapy.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Rise & Renew Therapy requires 48 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to the full session fee.
Missed appointments may also be subject to the full session fee.
If you arrive more than 20 minutes late to a scheduled appointment, the appointment may be considered missed and the full session fee may apply.
Exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Rise & Renew Therapy where circumstances warrant.
Please review the applicable cancellation policy when booking your appointment.
8. Fees and Payment
Current psychotherapy fees are displayed during the booking process or communicated directly by Rise & Renew Therapy.
Unless otherwise arranged, payment is due according to the payment terms provided at the time of booking.
Rise & Renew Therapy may accept payment methods such as electronic transfer or other payment methods made available by the practice.
Fees may change from time to time. Any applicable fee changes will be communicated to clients as appropriate.
9. Insurance and Extended Health Benefits
Some clients may have coverage for psychotherapy or social work services through an extended health benefits plan.
Coverage varies between insurance providers and individual plans.
Rise & Renew Therapy does not guarantee that your insurance provider will reimburse the cost of psychotherapy services.
You are responsible for confirming your coverage directly with your insurance provider before booking if insurance reimbursement is important to you.
You may wish to ask your provider whether your plan covers services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and/or Psychotherapist, and whether any specific documentation is required.
10. Psychotherapist-Client Relationship
Booking an appointment or submitting an inquiry does not automatically establish a therapeutic relationship.
A therapeutic relationship is established through the appropriate intake and clinical process.
Your therapist may determine that another practitioner, service, or level of care would be more appropriate for your needs. Where clinically appropriate, your therapist may discuss alternative or additional resources with you.
11. Confidentiality
Psychotherapy services are confidential, subject to applicable legal, professional, and ethical requirements.
There are circumstances in which information may be disclosed without your consent when disclosure is required or permitted by law or professional obligations.

12. Electronic Communication
Rise & Renew Therapy may communicate with clients through email, telephone, secure client platforms, video platforms, or other electronic methods.

Rise & Renew Therapy may direct clients to use a secure platform for clinical or confidential information.
